DHAKA: Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) did not find any evidence of rape in the autopsy of Stamford University student Rubaiyat Sharmin Rumpa.

Dr Sohel Mahmud, head of the DMC Forensic Medicine Department, confirmed the matter to media after receiving the postmortem report on Saturday.

Twenty-two-year-old Rumpa, a second-year English student of the private university around 10:45pm.

Rumpa, 22, a second-year English student of Siddheswari branch of the private university, was found dead in an alley behind Ayesha Shopping Complex on December 4.
