TANGAIL: Additional police were deployed in Tangail on Thursday (November 21).

Police were deployed-- in areas for example District Gate, Shantikunjo Point, Baby Stand, Nirala Intersection, College Gate, New Bus Stand Old Bus Stand, Main Stand-from Thursday morning (November 21).  

On Wednesday (November 20), the local administration imposed Section 144 for three-day banning all public gathering in some areas of Tangail town after two Awami League factions called for programmes at the same spot. 

The section will remain effective till 7 pm on Saturday (November 23), Muhammad Shahidullah, additional district magistrate of Tangail, said. 

Confrontation is likely as two groups announced programmes. Additional police were deployed for safety of the people, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tangail Police Station Mir Mosharraf Hossain told Banglanews.
