BENAPOLE: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a man along with eight gold bars from Amrakhali check-post on Wednesday (Nov 13).

The arrestee was identified as Rabiul Islam, son of Monir Uddin.

On information, a team of BGB stopped a human hauler ‘Mahendra’ around 9am and challenged Rabiul, said Amrakhali BGB check-post Habildar Shafiuddin to Banglanews. 

Later, they recovered eight gold bars from him.

Rabiul would be handed over to Benapole Port Police Station after legal procedure.
