CUMILLA: Two persons were killed as a pick-up van plunged into a roadside ditch on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Korpai Post Offcie area of Burichang upazila in the district early Wednesday (Nov 13).

The identity of deceased could now be known immediately, Banglanews correspondent reports.

Saiful Islam, Sub-inspector (SI) of Mainamati Highway Police Station, said the accident took place around 5:15 when a Dhaka-bound fish-laden pick-up van fell into a roadside ditch. Two persons were killed on the spot.

Police recovered the bodies and took those to police station, he added.
