BHOLA: Three arrestees, including Biplob, have been jailed on allegation of a Facebook post that allegedly hurts religious sentiments in Borahanuddin upazila of Bhola.
Senior Chief Judicial Court of Bhola on Monday (October 21) sent them to jail.
The arrestees are Biplob, son of Mohan Chandra, Sharif, son of Nur Alam and Emon, son of Idris of Kachia Union of the upazila.
Earlier, Dolwar Hossain, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Borhanuddin Police Station, filed the case accusing three persons under the Digital Security Act.
The investigating officer of the case, Borhanuddin Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohaminul, said they were produced before the court on Monday with five-day remand for each.
Enamul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of the Police Station, told Banglanews that they were brought to the police station last Saturday to quiz about the Facebook post. They were then shown arrested in the case.
Earlier on Oct 20, at least four people have died and over 100 others are injured in clashes between police and locals in Bhola's Borhanuddin over a Facebook post that allegedly hurts religious sentiments.
