DHAKA: Heads of four government bodies have been promoted to the level of grade-1 (status of Secretary) ranks from additional secretaries.

The Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday (October 17) issued an order with the highest grade of salary structure to the four officers.

Md. Shahadat Hossain, who are working as Director General of Disaster Management Department (Additional Secretary), has got Secretary rank while M Haiul Qayyum, Chairman of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), Ruhul Amin, Chairman of Petrobangla (Additional Secretary) and Kazi AH Mohul Islam, Director General of the Department of Family Planning (Additional Secretary) has been promoted to grade-1 ranks.

The four officials have been given secretary ranks, keeping on the same posts held by them.
