BARISHAL: A face-to-face collision between a Mahendra and a Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) double-decker bus claimed two lives and injured at least six passengers in Barishal.

One of the two deceased was a 65-year-old woman while the other was a 26-year-old woman, namely Nipa Mistri, hailing from Pirojpur.

The accident occurred on C&B Road under Barishal-Dhaka highway around 12 pm on Tuesday (October 15).

“The injured were admitted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. Nipa Mistri died while undergoing treatment at the hospital,” kotwali Model Police station’s sub-inspector Shahjalal told Banglanews.
