Govt working hard for Rohingya repatriation Obaidul Quader speaking to reporters

DHAKA:  Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the government is working very hard to send Rohingyas back to Myanmar.

Quader, also the Road, Transport and Bridges Minister made the remark while inaugurating the newly constructed Cox's Bazar Road Building on Sunday (September 22)

Obaidul Quader said, "We are making efforts so that citizens of Myanmar return to Myanmar as soon as possible." There is no lack of government initiatives in their repatriation. So, we will tell our opposition party not to provoke or confuse the Rohingya issue, because the country belongs to all of us.”

He also said: “Rohingya problem should not be taken as a political issue. Assist the government in the interest of the country, because it is an issue of national concern. You are also the shareholder of this concern. So, we hope that you will support the government as an opposition.”

The other party political leaders were present during the inaugural ceremony.
