RANGAMATI: Two activists of Jana Sanghati Samity (JSS reform) were shot to death by allegedly rivals in Baghaichhari upazila of Rangamati on Tuesday (September 17) night.

The deceased were identified as Ripel Chakma, 25, Barshon Chakma, 24.

According to locals, Ripel and Barshon were staying at a house in Nabchhara remote area of Marishya union in the upazila. At that time, some members of the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) came and fired at them, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

MA Manzoor Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baghichhari Police Station, confirmed the incident and told Banglanews that as the crime scene was too remote, they have rushed there with a joint force to recover the bodies.
