DHAKA: A Dhaka court fixed October 17 for submitting the investigation report over the murders of a woman from Garo community and her daughter in Kalachandpur of Dhaka.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debdas Chandra Adhikary on Tuesday (September 17) passed the order as Gulshan Police Station Inspector Md Salahuddin Mia failed to submit the report today.
Earlier on August 8, the same court fixed September 17 for submitting the investigation report over the murders of the two women from Garo community in the capital city.
On March 20, 2018, law enforcers recovered the bodies of Beset Chiran, 65 and her daughter Sujat Chiran, 40, from a flat in Kalachandpur.
Later, Sujat’s husband Ashish Mankhin filed a case with Gulshan Police Station accusing four persons, including Sujat’s nephew Sanjib Chiran.
Police then said one of the victims was hacked to death while another one was strangled to death over family feud.
Sujat’s nephew Sanjib Chiran and his three friends Raju Sangma alias Russel, Prabin Sangma and Shubho Chishim alias Shanto were detained from Nalitabari of Sherpur on March 21.
