DHAKA: Two siblings died of snakebite at Nagpara village in Shoilkupa upazilla on early Tuesday (September 17). 

The deceased were identified as Shahin Mandal, 28, and her brother Sohan Mondol, 8, children of late Nobab Mandol of the village.

Locals said a venomous snake bit Shahin and Sohan while they were asleep at their house in the dead of night, leaving the duo injured.

The two brothers were admitted to the Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex. Later, Shohan died on way to Kushtia Sadar Hospital.

Then, Shahin died at dawn while undergoing treatment at the hospital. 

Officer in charge (OC) of Shailkupa Police Station Bazlur Rahman confirmed the death of two brothers to Banglanews.
