Obaidul Quader said: “Unprecedented disciplinary action has been taken in Bangladesh against Bangladesh Chhatra League president and general secretary on the charge of breaching disciplinary code of conduct. Organizational measures have been taken against them and compulsory resignations have also been made.”

He said: “Prime Minister and party president Sheikh Hasina herself is monitoring the current situation of BCL. She has given charge to the acting president and general secretary to complete the next conference of the BCL.”

4-lane Bhulta Flyover has been constructed at the cost of Taka 375 crore. It has been opened before formal inauguration to ease traffic jam and public suffering. The premier will open it through videoconferencing at her convenient time, Quader said.
