DHAKA: Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has urged Germany and France to invest in Bangladesh.
He also invited the two European developed countries to invest in Special Economic Zones and High-tech Parks in Bangladesh.
The Foreign Ministry disclosed the information a press release received here on Friday (September 13).
Dr Momen made the call when a delegation from German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV), headed by Peter Clasen, Managing Partner, WILHEM G CLASEN GmbH & Co KG, called on him on Thursday (September 12).
In the meeting, Dr Momen called on the delegation to invest in Bangladesh.
The meeting was attended by German Ambassador Peter Fahrenholz.
OAV, with around 500 member companies, is a renowned German Platform for exchanging knowledge and experience across different industries, and offer members, operating in or in cooperation with Asia, practical and comprehensive services.
On the other hand, new French Ambassador to Bangladesh Jean-Marin SCHUH paid a courtesy call on the Foreign Minister at his office.
At this time, Dr. Momen expressed satisfaction over the France-Bangladesh bilateral relations.
He also urged France to invest in Bangladesh.
In these meetings, Dr Momen highlighted incredible socio-economic developments of Bangladesh in last one decade aiming to transformation of Bangladesh into ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
