Number of dengue patients decreases in Barishal Dengue patients at SBMC

BARISHAL: The number of dengue patients has been reduced to two-thirds since being admitted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College (SBMC) Hospital in Barishal from mid-July. 

A total of 57 patients have been admitted to the hospital over the last 24 hours while 75 returned home after receiving treatment. So altogether, a total of 145 patients have received treatment on Friday (August 23).

The hospital is providing treatment facilities to all patients, infected with mosquito-born disease, coming from all upazilas and districts. 

Relatives of the patients said treatment facilities are good. Separate units for dengue patients were opened here.

A nurse of the hospital, who goes by the name of Nipa Rani Das, said they are doing their level best to cure patients of the disease. .
