DHAKA: Foreign Affairs Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen warned action if anyone encourages Rohingya refugees to stay in Bangladesh, declining to go back to Myanmar homes.
"Many are encouraging Rohingyas to stay here. (They are) distributing leaflets and placards written in English. Action will be taken against them," he said.
The minister was talking to reporters at his office on the day of kicking off Rohingya repatriation Thursday (August 22).
"We are hopeful to send them back,"
"Our efforts will remain uninterrupted," added Dr AK Abdul Momen.
