India firm in earlier stand over Teesta: Jaishankar Dr S Jaishankar speaking to reporters

DHAKA: Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said that India was committed to solving Teesta issue as it earlier promised.

“India is firm in its previous stance regarding this agreement (Teesta),” Dr S Jaishankar told reporters after a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday (August 20).

“Two countries are looking for formula as how to act in the interests of the two countries about 54 common rivers,” Dr S Jaishankar told reporters.

"We will have the utmost support for all types of development work in Bangladesh," he said

Indian External Affairs Minister also said that NRC in Assam was India's internal affair. It's has got nothing to talk about.

Speaking on Rohingya crisis, Dr S Jaishankar said India would give importance to Rohingya repatriation considering the benefits of everyone
