NARSINGDI: Four people were killed and five others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Shibpur upazila early on Saturday (August 17). 

The deceased were identified as Sadia Akhter, 26, Jannat, 25 and Akib, 27, MBA students at Dhaka's Millennium University and Ekram Mia, 35, husband of the deceased Sadia. The identity of the injured was not known.

Sergeant Zakrul of the Highway Police Station told Banglanews that the accident took place when a bus of Shyamoli Paribahan collided head on with a private car carrying the university students in front of Madina Jute mill around 1:45am, leaving three dead on the spot. 
 
The injured were taken to nearby hospital where another succumbed to injuries, the police official added. 

Later, four other injured were sent Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
