DHAKA: Bangladesh Railway is set to begin sale of advance train ticket from 29 July onwards ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, said Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujon.
The sale will continue from 29 July to 2 August, but return ticket is from 5 August to 9 August. Half of the tickets will be sold online while the rest will be lost at 5 stations of the capital, railway minister briefed media on Tuesday (July 23).
As usual, BR arranged 8 pairs of special trains countrywide to ensure hassle-free journey of Eid-ul-Azha holidaymakers. Special trains will be in service from 8 August to 11 August before Eid, BR minister said.
The scheduled trains have 26500 seats, 4 special trains have 3000 seats. In addition, a total of 1437 coaches will be added on occasion of Eid.
