WHO, DSCC to fight dengue menace jointly The meeting

DHAKA: World Health Organization (WHO) promised to extent its support in battling mosquito-borne viral fever dengue, which has taken an epidemic form in Dhaka city.

A team of WHO representatives held a meeting at Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon's residence in Banani Saturday (July 20).

WHO-Bangladesh Acting Representative Dr Edwin Salvador led a five-member team, in the meeting.
 
As the meeting ended, Dr Edwin Salvador told reporters that WHO will jointly work with DSCC, Health Ministry and other government organizations to prevent the mosquito menace here. 

Sayeed Khokon emphasized over raising awareness mentioning that dengue situation is still under control.
