Schools-colleges open for sheltering flood victims

DHAKA: Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has instructed public and private secondary schools and colleges to keep open for giving the flood-affected people shelter. 

The order signed by Director of the Ministry of Education (College and Administration) Md Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury has been forwarded to the Zonal Director of Secondary and Higher Education, district and upazila education officers, head teachers and principals of the concerned school-college on Monday (July 15).

According to the order, all the public and private schools and colleges in the flood-affected areas will remain open for sheltering the flood victims. The organization chiefs will stay in their respective institutions and tackle the situation by coordinating with Deputy Commissioner and Upazila Nirbahi Officer concerned.

According to the order, the heads of organizations will arrange a control room in their respective organizations to monitor overall flood situation, including necessary instructions on these issues.
