ASHULIA (SAVAR): Two motorcyclists were run over by a truck on Nabinagar-Chandra Highway in Ashulia of Savar, on the outskirts of the capital city early Thursday (June 20).

The deceased were identified as Sheikh Sadar Mia, hailed from Narail district and Alamgir Hossain, 28, hailed from Satkhira district.

The bodies were handed over to the deceased's families, said Savar Highway Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Shafiqul Islam.

Police said the duo were on a motorcycle on way to Zirani Bazar, at the night.

A goods laden truck rammed the motorcycle in Sreepur Bus stand area, leaving the two dead on the spot.

Efforts are on to detect the killer truck, said the SI.
