NAOGAON: Transport workers have suspended bus service in Naogaon district, to protest the jailing of a fellow driver in a road crash case.

The strike that started Tuesday (June 18) morning, has caused severe sufferings to the commuters.

The protesters said seven persons including five labors of Naogaon's Patnitala upazila were killed when a vegetable laden truck overturned in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj on August 3, 2014. The driver was accused in a case.

On Monday (June 17), the driver was handed down a jail sentence.
