DHAKA: Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujon expressed sorrow for failing to provide railway apps service on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

The minister came up with the statement after inspecting advance Eid train ticket sale at Kamlapur railway station on Wednesday (May 22).

The minister said, “We’ve a contract with apps service providing company CNS since 2007. Term of this contract will not be extended after it terminates. We cannot avoid liability of CNS’s failure. Therefore, action indeed will be taken against CNS.”

“We’re making efforts so that passengers don’t get into trouble,” Md Nurul Islam Sujon said.

Md Nurul Islam Sujon said, “There is difference in this year’s activity. 50 percent of the tickets are available in the apps. Many people complained that they are not getting the desired service. It’s so sad. We will take action after the Eid so that it doesn’t repeat.”
