He said an investigation committee was formed in response to his father's allegation over the suicide of Sumaiya Akter Barsha, 14, a class-IX student of Bakshimoil High School in Mohanpur upazila.

The committee's responsibility is to see whether there is any negligence of officer in charge or any other police official of Mohanpur police station.

A three-member investigation committee headed by Mohammad Motiur Rahman Mollah, Additional Deputy Superintendent of the district police, has been asked to submit a report within three working days.

Earlier on Thursday (May 16), a schoolgirl has killed herself allegedly by hanging herself from ceiling fan after being raped by unknown rapists at Mohanpur Upazila.

Unable to tolerate the situation, Barsha committed suicide by hanging herself at Beelpara village in the upazila afternoon, said family members.
