TV blast victim dies at DMCH

DHAKA: 38-year-old Muktar Hossain, who sustained burn injuries in a television explosion at his Agargaon residence, has died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Saturday (May 18) night.

DMCH Police Outpost Inspector Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Muktar Hossain and his wife Salma, 28 were admitted to the Burn & Plastic Surgery Unit of DMCH after they had sustained burn injuries as a television set blasted at their residence in BNP Bazar area of Agargaon, Thursday (May 15) afternoon.

Mukta had 97 percent burn injuries while Salma is undergoing treatment with 95 percent burns.

Hailed from Belkuchi upazila of Sirajganj, Muktar ran a pharmacy in Dhaka.
