BRAHMANBARIA: A school student was killed in a landslide in Kasba upazila of the district on Saturday (May 18).

The victim was, identified as Kefayet Ullah, son of Jalal Miah, a resident of Borni village of the upazila. He was a 6th grade student of Liakot Ali High School.

According to locals, Kefayet Ullah was watching earth cutting at Binchuri village of Gopinathpur union of abovementioned upazila when tragedy occurred. Locals rushed him to Upazila Health Complex, but doctors declared him dead.

“On information, police were dispatched to the spot,” Abdul Maleq, officer-in-charge of Kasba Police station, told Banglanews.
