Rajshahi records highest temperature at 39.9°

RAJSHAHI:  The country's highest temperature was recorded at 39.9 degree Celsius in Rajshahi on Thursday (April 25) alongside forecast of no rainfall for the next three days.

“Highest temperature (39.9° Celsius) was recorded in Rajshahi city at 3 pm with the lowest at 25° Celsius,” Meteorologist of Rajshahi office Abdus Salam told Banglanews.

 “Patients are suffering symptoms of diarrhea, fever, cough and other diseases, owing to their sudden outbreak,” Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, physician at medicine department of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, told Banglanews.

Earlier, country’s highest temperature was recorded at 38-degree Celsius in Rajshahi on Thursday (April 25).

On May 18 of 1972, the highest temperature was recorded in the history of Bangladesh at 45.1° in Rajshahi.  It has been still on record.
