DHAKA:  The country's highest temperature was recorded at 38-degree Celsius in Rajshahi on Thursday (April 25).

However, Dhaka City sizzled at 37.1° Celsius, according to the Met Office

This day marks the hottest day of the summer 2019.

“Although there is no possibility of temperature hike, heat wave is likely to remain for next 24 hours,” Meteorologist Nazmul Haque told Banglanews.

Temperatures hit 37C in areas respectively Gopalganj, Rangamati, Jessore and Khulna.

High temperature brings immense sufferings for workers, not to mention Dhaka city dwellers.
