MYMENSINGH: A 60-year-old woman and her 7-year-old grandchild were killed when they was run over by a bus after being hit by a private car on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Trishal upazila.

The deceased were identified as Anwara Begum, and her grandson Jannat.

The accident took place when a private car and a bus one after another ran over the duo while they were crossing the highway in Kazir Shimla area at 8:00pm on Wednesday (April 24), leaving tehm dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter to Banglanews, Azizur Rahman, officer in charge of Trishal Police Station, said that both the private car and bus managed to flee the spot after the accident.
