Zayan’s body reaches home

DHAKA: The body of eight-year-old Zayan Chowdhury, who was killed in Sri Lanka blasts, reached home on Wednesday (April 24) noon.

An aircraft carrying the body landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 12: 54 pm.

Awami League presidium member Sheikh Fazlul Karim MP, the grandfather of Zayan Chowdhury, along with other family members, relatives, AL leaders received the body of his grandchild at the airport.

Following Asr prayer, namaj-e-janaza will be held at Banani’s Chairman Bari field. Later, he will be buried at Banani graveyard. 

The death toll in the Easter attacks in Sri Lanka has risen to 359.

Besides, 500 people, including Zayan’s father Moshiul Huq chowdhury, sustained injuries in the series bomb attacks.
