SYLHET: Customs officials recovered 20 gold bars weighing around 3.3kg from inside an aircraft at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Tuesday (April 23) morning.
Officials concerned said tipped off, a team of customs intelligence raided a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines BG-206 from Dubai landed at the airport around 9am and found the gold bars under a seat.
Recovered the gold bars, weighing 3 kilograms and 320 grams, is worth Tk 1.15 crore, said an official of custom intelligence who was on duty at civil aviation.
None was reportedly arrested in this connection.
