DHAKA: The body of Zayan Chowdhary, underage grandson of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's cousin Sheikh Selim, will be brought back home from Sri Lanka Wednesday (April 24).

The body was supposed to flown back here Tuesday (April 23) which was later delayed due to necessary preparations.

"Zayan's body will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, at 11:30am Wednesday," Awami League Acting General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif told Banglanews.

The body will be taken to the deceased's Banani residence from the airport.

Zayan will be buried at Banani Graveyard after Asr prayer following a namaz-e-janaza at Chairmanbari Field.

However, Awami League led 14-party leaders went to Sheikh Selim's residence, in the evening, to condole the bereaved family members.

Zayan was killed and his father Moshiul Haque Chowdhary Prince was injured in Easter Sunday series explosions in Sri Lanka Sunday (April 21).

They were on a tour to Sri Lanka.

At least 290 people were killed and more than 450 injured in the string of blasts in three churches and four hotels in Sri Lanka.
