2 Rohingya drug traders killed in Cox’s Bazar ‘gunfight’

COX’S BAZAR: Two Rohingya drug traders were killed in a reported gunfight with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at Keruntoli on Ukhia-Teknaf upazilas bordering area early on Monday (April 22).

The deceased were identified as Saiful Islam (21), son of Shamsul Alam of 13 no Rohingya camp and Faruk Hossain (25), son of Nabi Hossain of Rohingya camp of No. 19 of Thaingkhali area of Palangkhali union under Ukhia upazila.

Sub Inspector Dipankar Roy, in-charge of Hoaikong Police outpost, told Banglanews that being informed, two Rohingya drug traders were killed in 'gunfight' with BGB in Keruntoli area in the morning, a team of police rushed in and recovered the bodies. 

Later, the bodies were sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. 

However, no statement of BGB was found in this incident.
