Journalist Mahfuz Ullah still alive Mahfuz Ullah

DHAKA: Although news circulated over the death of imminent writer and senior journalist Mahfuz Ullah, he is still alive as his daughter Nusrat Humaira informed media.

BNP, in this regard, said Mahfuz Ullah has not passed away, he is in critical conditions.

Nusrat Humaira, on Sunday evening (April 21), told the media, “Father is alive. I’m sitting beside him.” 

69-year-old Mahfuz Ullah is undergoing treatment at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok.

Earlier on April 2, Mahfuz Ullah was admitted to Square Hospital in the capital with severe chest pain.

He underwent treatment at the coronary care unit (CCU) of the hospital.

He was born in Noakhali on March 10 of 1950. He earned a postgraduate degree in physics and journalism from University of Dhaka.

He authored as many as 50 books in Bangla and English.

He taught at Dhaka University and Daffodil University, working as a lecturer at the department of Mass Communication and Journalism.
