RAJSHAHI: Three girls drowned while bathing in Padma River at Mirganj of Bagha upazila of the district.

The incident happened around 12:30 pm on Saturday (April 21).

10-year-old Isha and 17-year-old Jim were daughters of Jillur Rahman of Mirganj Vankur village under Bagha upazila and 12-year-old Shibra was a daughter of Shahidul Islam.

Three of them were cousins in relation.

“Bodies were kept at upazila health complex. Bodies will be handed over to family members following legal procedure,” Mahsin Ali, officer-in-charge of Bagha Police Station, told Banglanews.
