DHAKA: Police recovered the hanging body of a 12-year-old house from a residence in the capital’s Uttara sector-12 Tuesday (March 26).

The deceased was identified as Boishakhi, hailed from Naogaon.

Uttara West Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Delwar Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Name of the deceased’s employer is Rifat Ferdous. She worked at the residence for last one month.

“She committed suicide by hanging at a room of the residence on Tuesday afternoon,” said the SI.

The body has been sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy following legal process. 

No mark of injury was found on the girl’s body, added the SI.

Reasons behind the death would be known once the autopsy report is received, the SI said further.
