DHAKA: A fire that erupted at a 14-storey building in New Market area of the capital city Friday (March 22) night was doused after one and a half hours.
Fire Service & Civil Defence Headquarters Duty Officer Mahfuz Riben confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
The fire originated at second floor of ‘Biswas Builders’ around 10:50pm Friday.
On information, seven units of firefighters managed to douse the blaze around 12:15 Saturday (March 23).
The extent of casualties couldn’t be known immediately.
However, no fatalities were reported.
