GOPALGANJ: Three motorcyclists were killed after being hit by a train in Gopalganj sadar upazila.

The accident happened at Vennabari rail crossing area of the upazila on Tuesday (March 19).

Two of the deceased were identified as Raju Sikdar, 25, son of Siddik Sikdar of Islambag area of Gopalganj district town and Tanvir Chowdhury Rocky, 19, son of Kamrul Chowdhury of Mohammad para area.

Presumably, the train hit them around 11 am, thereby killing them on the spot, Gopalganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monirul Islam said.

Police sent the bodies, after recovering them at 6 am, to Gopalganj sadar upazila morgue, OC added.
