DHAKA: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, while talking to his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina over phone, strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Christchurch in New Zealand and also mourned for the victims.
Trudeau phoned Bangladesh Prime Minister on Monday (18 March) morning.
Justin Trudeau expressed relief as Bangladesh Cricket Team escaped narrowly the attack and did not face any kind of damage.
At the time, the two Prime Ministers urged the global community to work together against terrorism.
In the Friday prayers, 50 people were killed so far in two deadliest attacks with automatic rifles in the two mosques of Christchurch.
Prior to the attacks, an Australia-born attacker posted online citing that he believed in white superiority. He has done this attack to take revenge on the immigrants. However, New Zealand police detained him and three others. Several Bangladeshi were killed in terrorist attacks.
