DHAKA: The voting to 122 upazilas in the fourth phase of upazila parishad election is set to be held on March 31.

The last date of nomination submission is March 4, the scrutiny on March 6 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is March 13, said Election Commission Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed. 

According to the EC schedule, the first phase of the election will be held (at 87 upazilas) on March 10, second phase (at 129 upazilas) on March 18, and third phase (at 127 upazilas) on March 24.

From the 3rd phase, Electronic Voting Machine will be used at seven upazilas. In the 4th phase, EVM will be used at 16 upazilas.

This time, UP polls will be held in five phases.
