Tremors felt in Southeastern Bangladesh as 4.8 quake hits Mizoram The epicentre was spotted with a red circle in the map.

DHAKA: An earthquake measuring 4.8 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Northeastern Indian state of Mizoram Sunday (Feb 17) morning.

Light tremors were felt in Southeastern parts of Bangladesh including Chattogram, Bandarban, Rangamati, Khagrachari and Feni districts.

According to EMSC (European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre), the epicentre was about 7 km Southeast of Saiha and the quake struck at 8:58am Bangladesh time.

However, there were no immediate reports of damage.
