First phase Ijtema ends with Akheri Munajat Devotees at Biswa Ijtema

DHAKA: The first phase of the 54th Biswa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of Muslims across the world, ended with Akheri Munajat (concluding prayers).

Senior Islamic scholar of Kakrail mosque Hafez Mawlana Mohammad Zubaer conducted the munajat seeking world peace, divine blessings and welfare of Muslim Ummah.

The munajat began at 10:42 am and ran for 15 minutes on the bank of Turag River in Tongi town under Gazipur district on Saturday (February 16).

Thousands of devotees from home and abroad took part at the Jumma prayers held on the Ijtema ground on Friday.

With an extension of one day, the second largest congregation of Muslims after Hajj has been arranged for four consecutive days from February 15-18.

Mawlana Zubair is conducting the 1st two days of Ijtema while Syed Wasif Islam will conduct the latter two days.
