GAZIPUR:  A fire burnt down 4 cotton warehouses, 12 houses of a slum at Maddoachirpur area of Tongi.

The fire broke out at a cotton warehouse on Friday night (February 2).

Three units of Tongi Fire Service and a unit of Uttara Fire Service were able to douse the flames after one and half hours.

Cause of fire and loss could not be measured immediately, said station officer Kabirul.
