“According to autobiography of Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s father advised his son that whatever works you will do you must maintain the sincerity of purpose and honesty of purpose. I think these two advices are very important. So, the new cabinet members will keep it in mind in discharging their duties,’ she said while addressing the maiden cabinet meeting on Monday (Jan 21).

The premier further said, “Member of the new cabinet must do its all the works with sincerity and honesty. Every work must be done with devotion. This should be kept in your mind.”

“We have responsibility to the people. It’s our duty. We are here to perform the duty with honesty. If we work honestly, we will succeed. The power of honesty is immense. We were able to prove it again and again”, PM Hasina said.

“People have expectations to us. So, our only goal is to fulfill the expectations. One thing I will say ‘Under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, we got the independence of this country’. His wanted to make the distressed of the country happy. We too have the same desire… We will fulfill the desire, which the father of the nation had. The Father of the Nation wanted to make Bangladesh a hunger and poverty-free country”, she added.
