DHAKA: A ready-made garment worker was killed after being hit by a bus in Mirpur’s Bashantek on Thursday (January 17).
20-year-old female worker Tamanna met with the accident while going to work around 8 am.
A Kakoli Paribahan bus hit Tamanna, leaving her seriously wounded, Sabbir Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Bashantek police station, told Banglanews.
She was immediately rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital, but was pronounced dead by the doctors, OC said.
Though the bus was seized, but the driver fled the spot. Dead body was kept in the hospital’s morgue, OC also said.
