Schoolboy found dead after 7 days of missing in Cumilla

CUMILLA:   Police recovered body of a schoolboy after he had gone missing for seven days in Debidwar upazila of the district on Wednesday (January 16).

The body was found from a land at Borkamta village under Borkamta union of the upazila around 12 pm.

14-year-old Jay Chandra Ghosh, son of Amar Chandra Gosh, was an 8th grade student of a local school.

He went missing after coming out from home on January 9. A General Diary was registered with Debidwar police station on January 14.

The cause of the death can not be determined now, as the corpse has swollen. Prima facie, the boy died 2-3 days ago, Jahirul Anowar, officer-in-charge of Debidwar police station, told Banglanews.

Dead body has been sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for autopsy. Details will be given when autopsy report is received, OC also said.
