Microbus plunge kills 5 in Brahmanbaria  The battered microbus at the site

BRAHMANBARIA:  Five persons were killed as a microbus smashed into a roadside tree after losing control at Islampur of Bijoynagar upazila of the district.

Besides, four persons including the driver were injured.

The incident happened on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at 2:30 pm on Tuesday (January 15), according to Hossen Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Khati Hata police station.

The deceased were identified as Hasanuzzaman, 61, a resident of south khilgaon, Parosh Kanti, 33, Rijpn Salehin, 30, Apu Ahmed, 25, and Apu Ahmed's wife, Chandan Kumar Chakrabarty, officer-in-charge of Madhabpur Police Station told Banglanews.

All the casualties are employees of a private company in Dhaka.
