TANGAIL: Three people were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Porabari area of Ghatail upazila on Monday (Dec 17).

Of the deceased, two were identified as Shamsul Haque, driver of the human hauler and his helper Shyamol.

The accident took place in Porabari area around 12:00pm when a Mymensingh-bound passenger bus from Pabna hit a human hauler coming from opposite direction, leaving one person dead on the spot and four others injured, said Masudul Haque, officer-in-charge of Ghatail Police Station.

The injured were rushed to Tangail General Hospital where Shyamol and another unidentified person succumbed to their injuries, added the OC.
