Dr Kamal’s attitude part of conspiracy: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan at Bijoyer Potaka function

DHAKA:  Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan criticized Jatiya Oikyafront leader and Gano Forum president Dr Kamal Hossain for his attitude to the journalists.

Asaduzzaman Khan came up with the opinion at a function titled ‘Bijoyer Potaka (flag of victory) organized in front of Krishibid Institute Bangladesh in city on Saturday (December 15).

Mentioning the incident that occurred at Martyred Intellectuals Mausoleum in Dhaka on Martyred Intellectuals’ Day (December 14), the minister said, “This behavior, which was done with journalists, is never expected. This behavior is part of their (Jatiya Oikyafront) conspiracy.”

Earlier on Friday, Dr Kamal Hossain told reporters to shut up while they were asking him questions about Jamaat in city’s Mirpur.

Asaduzzaman Khan said two glasses of his (Dr Kamal Hossain) vehicle got broken down, not being attacked while returning from the Martyred Intellectuals Mausoleum.

A General Diary (GD) was filed with police station. Upon investigation, action will be taken, the home minister added.

The motorcade of Dr Kamal Hossain was allegedly attacked at the Martyred Intellectuals Mausoleum on Friday.

Miscreants attacked Dr Kamal’s motorcade while he was coming out from the Mausoleum after paying homage to the great sons of the soil around 10:00 am, said Latiful Bari Hamim, media coordinator of Gano Forum.

While talking to reporters, Dr Kamal, however, blamed the activists of Jubo League and Chhatra League for the incident.
