KUSHTIA: A General Diary (GD) was filed against Oikyafront top leader Dr Kamal Hossain with Islamic University (IU) Police Station in Kushtia, over ‘offensive behavior’ to journalists.     

IU Professor also Daily Bangladesh Shomoy Acting Editor Dr Mithun Mostafiz filed the GD.

He filed written complaints with the police station, which was accepted as a GD, on Friday (Dec 14) evening. 

IU Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ratan Sheikh confirmed the matter.

“Dr Kamal Hossain scorned journalists at Martyred Intellectuals' Memorial on Martyred Intellectuals Day. His speech has become a cause of fear for the journalists,” he said.

The GD was forwarded to Darussalam Police Station of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, added the OC.
